Big Mouth and Ugly Girl is a touching story of guns, bombs, and violence. When 16 year old Matt Donughy is accused of threatening to bomb the school, only one person stands up for him: Ugly Girl. She convinces the cops and everyone that he’s innocent, and saves Matt from killing himself. When Matt’s parents sue the school, everyone shuns him and his dog is kidnapped. Will he get her back? Later, Matt develops feelings for Ugly Girl. Can anything possibly come of this relationship? This is an excellent book, and can be read by anyone ages thirteen to four-hundred and twelve.
