A walk in the woods

Following a path,
Winding 'round and 'round,
The bricks cracked and broken,
Their color reddish brown.
The leaves forever falling,
In yellow and orange, a beautiful red,
They fall in clumps and piles,
Making a leafy bed.

A paper and pen...
is all it takes...
to cheer me up...
in life's little quakes.
A paper and pen...
is all I need...
through lifes slow places...
it gives me speed.
A paper and pen...
is so good to me,
in life's darkest hour...
it brings me great glee.

Space

The stars glow bright
And give off light.
The dark so deep
You want to weep.
The night so cold
You must be bold…
To enter space
That freezing place.
From inside the ship
You look far out;
You find you're not flying,
But floating about.
The stars, the night,
The dark, the light,
All working together
To win the fight
Against this place
Of empty space.
